Norway

"If you have the energy" said the husband when I asked if I should update the blog. Well I guess I do.

No news is no news in this case, just business as usual. Jan Arne has received Vectibix now three (or four?) times and the blood values have been good every time. The liver values have normalised since all the hassle in April/May so the stent is finally working. Even one of the values (afos) we thought is probably related to the cancer being active again is almost within normal limit which it has not been since the diagnosis.

In July we had two anniversaries: two years from the diagnosis and 15 years since we started dating (and pretty much the same amount of time since we met Jack ;D). We celebrated the 15-year anniversary the day before by going to the new IKEA nearby to have shrimp sandwiches 3.90 euros each.

Now we are in Norway for two weeks, enjoying the cooler weather (in Finland the temperature has been around 30C for close to two weeks now) and meeting a lot of friends and relatives and eating a lot of cakes. Nice :)

WooooW...!! That's encouraging :)

I will take it that my prayer is working and God started to heal Jan !!! :)

Well, the reason I know because I was diagnosed with another episode of colitis myself a few months ago :)

This time it's Ischemic Colitis and was admitted in the ER. The MRA showed 60% blockage in one of the arteries.

Of course, second opinion is the first thing came to mind before they started doing anything further. So, my personal doctor also agreed.

Well, our friends here and I have been praying (add me on the same list as Jan :)

A few weeks ago, I went in for an arteriogram :) it was fun :)

The doctor said that if they see the blockage and it looks bad, they give me the stent too !!

Well, the doctor couldn't find it, it is not there anymore. :)

Hoo ray !!!

I can walk now :)

I told you this so that you know that I believe God can heal Jan too.

And I will keep praying ...
And I will keep praying ...

THAT'a sooOooOOOo ROMANTIC !! {^O^}

The upcoming one is our 9 years anniversary. I will offer her to go to IKEA Atlanta and order that famous $ 4.99 Swedish Meatball with mashed potatoes, cream sauce and lingonberries and $ 6.99 Salmon Filet with potatoes and veggies {^_^}

Do you think she will like it? ;)

Hi Jack and tanks for support!
I hope you and your wife enjoyed the Ikea lunch. I myself had the (famous) meat balls at Ikea the other day and they were delicious. I'm also happy to hear your medical condition was false alarm. Hope it stays that way! :)
